Kite – The New card for Kids from Starling
Starling – One of the new breed of digital challenger banks who started off with offerings of a Personal card, then a Business account. Well, now they have done one better and now offer a card for Kids called Kite.
Its linked to a guardian’s Starling account and aimed at kids aged between 6 – 16 years of age. It provides children with the opportunity to have their own bank card and for most, a first time foray into money. For those who have their own mobile phone they can access a more simplified version of the Starling app.
Easy to setup and top-up. The great thing with this is that you can track how kid’s spend on their card and help nurture more responsible ways to spend.
Price
The cost of Kite is £2 per month for each card. On the plus side you won’t be charged for transfers or ATM withdrawals.
How to get Kite
- Open the Starling app from the parents or guardian’s phone
- Tap on Spaces, then ‘Child Space’ and follow the instructions given
- Thats it! Oh and a Kite card will soon be on its way
